A Week in The Pacific Northwest
Tailormade Journeys
Begin in balmy Seattle, the shimmering city punctuated by waterways and green spaces, with a coffee culture that sets the standard and a seafood scene that does it all. Soar higher than both the Cascades and the Space Needle as you take to the sky during a seaplane flight. Afterwards, the Pacific Northwest opens up before your eyes as you journey from the Olympic Peninsula to the monumental Snoqualmie Falls via a jaw-dropping drive through Washington – local guides poised behind the wheel or leading the (gentle) charge during a picturesque hike. And when you aren’t traversing the unspoiled grass, you’re sitting down for a gourmet picnic in the shadow of snow-capped mountains, swapping stories with a local tribesperson or sampling stellar wines from across the state.

Seattle is the cultural capital of the Pacific Northwest. From cutting-edge technology companies tothe finest coffee, the Emerald City offers you a wide variety of encounters with the locals and the natural surroundings. Get your first view of the city from above when you board a shared scenic seaplane flight, watching the landscape unfold from a guaranteed window seat. Glide past houseboat communities before lifting off for a bird’s-eye view of the University of Washington and Husky Stadium. Continue over Elliott Bay, taking in Seattle’s dramatic skyline and waterfront stadiums framed by the surrounding mountains and waterways. Land back on Lake Union in the heart of the city and settle into your hotel.
Meals:
2 Olympic National Park – Private Market Visit
Rise early for a privately guided, behind-the-scenes exploration of renowned Pike Place Market before it opens to the public. Connect with the on-site artisans and sellers, engaging up close with the market’s renowned Fish Throwers. Afterward, depart for the Olympic Peninsula on a scenic drive over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, passing along the Hood Canal with the majestic Olympic Mountains as a backdrop. Stop for lunch at a popular oyster bar, where you can sample freshly caught oysters and other locally sourced fare. Then experience a private reception and storytelling session with a master totem carver from the Jamestown S’Kallam Tribe. Continue to spectacular Olympic National Park, which encompasses nearly one million acres, an astonishing 95 percent of which is designated as pristine wilderness — rainforest veiled in shadows and moisture, towering alpine peaks, tranquil lakeshores and a rugged Pacific coastline — all seemingly unmarked by human presence.
Meals:
3 Olympic National Park – Marvels Of The Forest
Roam through Olympic National Park alongside a private guide, venturing through lush temperate rainforest, dramatic river valleys and ancient evergreen landscapes while learning about the region’s unique ecosystems and natural history. Along the way, pass through small Pacific Northwest communities for a glimpse of daily life and enjoy time for a relaxed picnic lunch in a scenic outdoor setting, all while absorbing the park’s placid, untouched beauty.
Meals:
4 Olympic National Park – Journey Through Wilderness
Set your own pace this morning, perhaps sleeping in or setting out on an easy walk highlighted by outstanding coastal views. You may also consider a self-guided stroll through the Dungeness Spit Wildlife Refuge, with its sweeping vistas of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and abundant wild birdlife. Then head out across the Olympic Peninsula toward the Cascade foothills and Snoqualmie, gazing out at stunning coastal landscapes, evergreen forests and mountains. Opportunities en route include short forest walks near Lake Crescent, a stop in Port Angeles for lunch along the waterfront or a scenic detour along Hood Canal with views of forested shoreline and oyster farms. As you near your destination, consider a break in North Bend for a cup of the area’s classic coffee before continuing to Snoqualmie Falls, where a short viewpoint walk offers a dramatic introduction to the region. Arrive in Snoqualmie and settle into your lodge, in a setting framed by cascading falls and mighty greenwood.
Meals:
5 Snoqualmie Falls – Plunging Cascades And Private Wine Tasting
Join your guide for a refreshing morning visit to Snoqualmie Falls, one of Washington’s most celebrated natural landmarks. Take in sweeping views of the river gorge as mist rises dramatically from the base of the cataract. Cascading 268 feet into the Snoqualmie River below, the falls holds cultural significance for the Snoqualmie Tribe and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Head to nearby North Bend and the surrounding Snoqualmie Valley, filming location for Twin Peaks. Pass familiar backdrops that helped define the show’s atmospheric Pacific Northwest aesthetic, with time to pause for photos and stop for coffee. Continue to a nearby boutique winery for a private tasting experience set in a relaxed, intimate setting. Sip some of the region’s diverse varietals as you discover its flourishing wine culture, a refined moment that exquisitely caps off your rousing outdoor adventure.
